Endovascular Therapy

Discover our modern, minimally invasive endovascular therapy treatments.

The Future of Endovascular Treatments Is Here

The Latest Way to Treat Heart Attacks and Strokes
SS Vascular utilizes minimally invasive endovascular procedures to restore healthy blood flow without the need for open surgery. Surgeons work inside the veins using a catheter that is threaded through a blood vessel.

This type of procedure has changed the way heart attacks, strokes, and other vascular conditions are being treated. Conditions that once required invasive surgery can now be treated in this manner. Because endovascular procedures are less invasive, patients spend less time in the office, less time recovering and often have less pain overall.

Minimally Invasive Surgical Options
These procedures require only a small incision, through which a thin catheter is inserted. Using advanced imaging technology, the catheter is guided through a blood vessel to remove blockages and open narrowed areas. Today, smaller, more flexible catheters and stents are being used to treat even the smallest blood vessels.

Able to Access Any Blood Vessels
Endovascular therapy is used to access many regions of the body through the blood vessels. Using techniques that were originally pioneered by radiologists for diagnostic purposes, our surgeons offer a vast array of procedures that range from the opening of blocked blood vessels to the decommissioning of abnormally enlarged blood vessels.

Common Conditions Treated with Endovascular Therapy:

Vascular Disease

Deep Vein Thrombosis (DVT)

Embolizations and Exclusions

Vascular disease is a group of conditions that affect the blood vessels in the body. There are several factors that can contribute to the development of vascular disease, including atherosclerosis (buildup of plaque in the arteries), high blood pressure, diabetes, smoking, obesity, family history, age, and a sedentary lifestyle.

Tests include ultrasound, CT scans, MRI, angiography, and blood tests. These are used to diagnose and assess the severity of vascular disease. At SS Vascular, all ultrasounds are completed in-house, so you won’t have to make multiple visits to different offices.

Please bring a list of all current medications, identification and insurance cards, and any recent lab or imaging results to your first appointment. Please fill out the new patient form prior to your visit, or arrive early to give yourself plenty of time to complete it.

If you are experiencing symptoms or have any concerns about your vascular health, it may be a good idea to schedule an appointment at SS Vascular. Some of the common signs and symptoms of vascular disease include pain or cramping in the legs, swelling or pain in the arms or legs, chronic wounds or ulcers that do not heal, varicose veins, high blood pressure, and a family history of vascular disease.

If your vein problems are cosmetic – you don’t like how they appear – that’s still a valid reason for scheduling a consultation.  Vein problems don’t go away without help – in fact, they often get worse. You shouldn’t have to live with discomfort or unsightly veins. Treatment can restore your confidence and comfort.
